Use of polyvinyl alcohol resin, preparation method
Leave a message
The polyvinyl alcohol resin series products are white solids with three types: flocculent, granular and powdery; non-toxic, odorless, non-polluting, and can be dissolved in water at 80--90 °C. Its aqueous solution has good adhesion and film-forming properties; it is resistant to most organic solvents such as oils, lubricants and hydrocarbons; it has chemical properties such as esterification, etherification, and acetalization of long-chain polyols. Since free vinyl alcohol is extremely unstable and cannot exist alone, in order to obtain polyvinyl alcohol with practical value, vinyl acetate is usually used as a monomer for polymerization, and then alcoholysis or hydrolysis is performed to obtain polyvinyl alcohol.
Under the action of ultraviolet rays, gamma rays, X rays, etc., vinyl acetate is prone to free radical polymerization. Very pure vinyl acetate will not polymerize by heating in the absence of oxygen. Under the action of an initiator, vinyl acetate can polymerize under mild conditions. According to the different uses of polyvinyl acetate, there are many ways to implement vinyl acetate polymerization in industry. The polyvinyl acetate used in the manufacture of polyvinyl alcohol fibers is usually obtained by solvent polymerization using methanol as a solvent. The polyvinyl acetate is subjected to alcoholysis reaction under the action of methanol or sodium hydroxide to obtain polyvinyl alcohol resin.
Mainly used for warp sizing agent, fabric finishing agent, vinylon fiber raw material in textile industry; 107 glue, interior and exterior wall coatings and adhesives in building and decoration industry; used as polymeric emulsifier, dispersant and polyvinyl formal, shrinkage agent in chemical industry Acetaldehyde and butyral resin; used as paper adhesive in paper industry; used in agriculture as soil conditioner, pesticide adhesion synergist and polyvinyl alcohol film; also used in daily cosmetics and high-frequency quenching agent, etc. aspect.
